Kino Lorber has acquired North American distribution rights to Katherine Propper’s debut feature 'Lost Soulz', a fresh hip hop-infused drama about a young rapper’s journey to harness his creativity and forge his own path to musical superstardom. The film made its world premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Festival, where it won the second place Audience Award, and will make its international premiere at the Raindance Film Festival in London on October 29. Kino Lorber will release Lost Soulz theatrically, digitally, and on home video in 2024.

The Invisible Fight made its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival and will next play at Fantastic Fest and the Sitges Film Festival, followed by a theatrical, digital, and home video release via Kino Lorber in 2024.

Kino Lorber announced that it has acquired all North American distribution rights to the final short film by Jean-Luc Godard, Trailer of a Film That Will Never Exist: Phony Wars. The 20-minute short was an official selection at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival and will next screen at the Toronto International Film Festival and the New York Film Festival. Kino Lorber will present the film on a national theatrical tour this fall, followed by a run at New York’s Film Forum in December alongside Cyril Leuthy’s documentary Godard Cinema.

Tunisia has submitted Kaouther Ben Hania’s Cannes prizewinning documentary Four Daughters as their official entry for Best International Feature at the 96th Academy Awards. Winner of the L’Oeil d’Or for Best Documentary at the Cannes Film Festival, where it was the sole Arab film in Competition, Four Daughters will next screen in the Special Presentations section of the Toronto International Film Festival. Kino Lorber will release the film theatrically on October 27 and has also submitted the film in the Academy Awards Best Documentary Feature category.
