Baby Peggy: The Elephant in the Room
Directed by Vera Iwerebor
Hollywood discovered Peggy-Jean Montgomery when she was 19 months old, and by the age of two, they made her a star. By the time Peggy was six years old, she had acted in hundreds of films and had her own line of Baby Peggy products available around the world. Sadly, her fame was short-lived, as she aged out of childhood innocence and her family abused her profits for their own luxuries. Director Vera Iwerebor combines rare clips from Peggy's lost films with narration by the starlet herself to weave a tale about fame, corruption, and the machinations of old Hollywood.
